Act I
The arena had most of the lower bowl filled with some scattered seating in the upper level. I was in the 4th row center ice.
Superstar: Lucinda Ruh
Lucinda opened the show with a short program which had one of her wonderful combination spins.
Black Betty: Cast
The cast then came out for the opening number and was introduced by their voices. This number was performed very well with no major breaks in unison.
Lady Marmalade: Tara, Kristi, Katarina, Anjelika, Jenni, and Lucinda
The ladies in the show then skated well to a group number to Lady Marmalade.
Tango: Anjelika, Oleg, Jenni, Todd Sand, Katarina, Steven
Steven then came out and started the tango since he wasn't in the previous number, the rest joined him and each pair did the tango after each other was finished.
Lord of the Rings: Todd Eldredge
Kurt came out to introduce Todd, he did his long program from the Olympics. He managed to do a 3toe with a lean in the air, 3axel, flying sit spin, camel spin, 3lutz, flying sit spin, split jump, flying camel to sit spin, 3axel, 3salchow, footwork, 2 split jumps, and his standard combination spin.
Guitar: Kurt Browning
Kurt then went out and performed his program to solo acoustic guitar music performed by Ed Robertson of the Bare Naked Ladies. He started out with a fall on the 3toe, 3 double axels, scratch spin, a 3toe, and a closing scratch spin, as always he had integrated footwork throughout the program.
Color of Roses: Tara Lipinski
Tara was next with her beautiful color of roses program. She did a 2salchow, 3toe, 3salchow, camel spin into a donut on a stick spin, a sit spin while holding a rose, and a spiral sequence. Tara got a good crowd reaction with this program and her speed was better than I have seen from her in a while.
Vanity Tango: Kurt, Denis, and Steven
Kurt Denis and Steven went out and did a tango with a bunch of vanities. This program must have been hard to learn without getting hurt.
Rendezvous: Ilia Kulik
Ilia skated one of his self-choreographed program that were jam packed with jumps and footwork. He did 3toe, 3axel, flying camel, 3lutz, 2axel, flying Kulik, 3toe, split jump, and a footwork sequence.
Last of the Mohicans: Anjelika and Oleg
K&O then did their Last of the Mohicans program in which they skate with a big stick that is held between them for much of the program. Oleg also used the stick to lift Anjelika at times. I found that having to carry the stick forced them to lose some of their usual speed.
Tom Jones Medley: Steven Cousins
Steven went out and did a program featuring lots of Tom Jones music. He did a 3flip-2toe, 2axel, 2 split jumps, 2axel, 2lutz, 3toe, split jumps, and a closing scratch spins. His 2axels looked like they need improvement, they didn't go up very high.
Gold: Kristi Yamaguchi
Kristi then did her "Gold" program which she has performed previously at the Memorial Fund show and the Opening ceremonies at the Salt Lake Olympics. She did a 2axel, 2lutz, spiral, layback, 3loop, split jumps, 3toe, and a flying camel to close the program.
It Takes Chair to Tango: Jenni and Todd
Jenni and Todd did a program where Todd wears a ^Screw^T shirt and Jenni stays in a chair the entire time. They managed to do several unique moves including a death spiral with a chair.
G-O-L-D: Tara, Kristi, Katarina
Tara, Kristi and Katarina performed the program where they are in their vanities and start rapping about winning the Olympics.
Because We Can: The Guys
After the program by the women, several of the guys came out in drag and did a can can number.
